Spca Adoption Calgary - Cats For Adoption Inverness
Calgary Humane Society has dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens for adoption. Adopt a pet in Calgary, Alberta.
Here are photos of Abbey and Jasmine, just two of our puppies that have homes waiting for them. They just need a travel companion to accompany them to Calgary.
The number of animals we can place is entirely dependent on us getting them to their destination forever homes. We really need your help. Please share with anyone you know who might be able to assist us in getting these sweethearts to Calgary.
As always, the SPCA will take care of all the paperwork and expenses involved with their transportation, as well as ensure someone will be there to pick up the puppies.
If you can assist, please contact Janice Chatterton at or phone 222-2692.

Adorable Dog in the Spotlight... Benito
Benito means "Little Blessing". You could not be more blessed than to have little Benito in your life. He is so cuddly and appreciative of any affection. He was living on the streets surviving on handouts until one of our "Angels" rescued him. Thank you Jennifer, you have won your wings. Benito is a male poodle mix and weighs 8 kilos.
Contact the SPCA if you are interested in adopting Benito or any of our animals.
Adorable Cats in the Spotlight...Camilo & Trini
It's been a while since we last had the spotlight on these fine felines. They have been with us a number of months now, living with their foster families. They were all at the library recently, but unfortunately they still have not found their forever home.
If you are interested in these or any of our felines looking for forever homes, please contact us.
Make a difference... Open Your Heart and Home to a Shelter Animal
Want to have some fun? Well, we are looking for volunteers to go to the shelter and cuddle and walk the dogs. We want to be sure all our rescues get the love and attention they deserve and as frequently as possible. If you would enjoy spending a few hours a day or a week, please contact us to make arrangements and get directions to the shelter.
CALGARY, CANADA (News Talk 770 Calgary ) - The Alberta SPCA has seized over 60 dogs and cats from a Gleichen area animal sanctuary after a complaint about conditions.
45 dogs and 20 cats were seized on Tuesday from Oops-a-Dazy Animal Rescue after the animals were found to be in distress.
Roland Lines, with the SPCA says the animals will be quarantined for at least 10 days while the investigation continues. He says it’s too early to say if charges will be laid, but at the very least the shelter will have to pay vet and boarding costs while the animals are in the SPCA’s care.
Christine Campbell with the Oops-a-Dazy board says officials had a couple of concerns that the shelter had already identified. One of the concerns was a large outdoor area for dogs, which the SPCA felt should be turned into several smaller pens.
The organization admits it had a higher number of pets in their care than they’d like, adding that it’s been overwelmed with animals being turned in.
